Read and Romp BirminghamRead and Romp-Birmingham, a FREE family literacy event will be held at Railroad Park on Saturday, September 15th from 9 a.m. to 12 noon for children 3-5 years of age and their families.

Children will be engaged in fun, learning-based activities themed around popular children’s books.

Children will visit 12 different stations manned by local organizations listed below and will leave the event with goodies that they have created from an activity at each station, along with a stamped passport and books.  For example, children will be playing Hopscotch at the Books A Million station and hearing the story of a familiar Dr. Seuss book, Hop On Pop.

This is a great event to provide children with books, promote reading and teach parents how to help engage their children through books.
