Super WHY Live: You’ve Got the Power is coming to the BJCC for one night only on Friday, July 20. There are two shows one at 6:30PM and one at 8:30PM. This is the first-ever live show based on the popular PBS KIDS TV series. It will feature all new songs and classic Super Why favorites, magical special effects, and of course a feel good story.
July 20 – 22
Red Mountain Theater
2:00 PM & 7:00 PM
More theater! July 20 – 22 is Cinderella KIDS at Red Mountain Theater. This is the Classic Cinderella with and her wicked stepmother and stepsisters, Fairy Godmother and the Prince! only all of the roles are being played by children ages 7 to 12! They have 2PM matinee and 7PM evening shows.
Area Museums and Attractions
Saturday, July 21 is a special members-only day of free admission and family-friendly activities to area museums and attractions . One valid membership card and/or postcard invitation admits 2 adults and up to 4 children into absolutely any and every participating venue all day long. Botanical Gardens, Civil Rights Institute, Museum of Art, Birmingham Zoo, McWane Science Center, Southern Museum of Flight, Vulcan Park and Museum.
And if you want to get outside then Saturday, July 21 is Float Your Boat festival at the Turkey Creek Nature Preserve from 10 AM – 2 PM. The Turkey Creek Nature Preserve is a beautiful area located just down Hwy 79 – take the Tallapoosa exit and keep going. The fee to enter the wood boat races is only $5 and the proceeds benefits the Turkey Creek Nature Preserve youth outreach programs.

On July 24-28 Birmingham Children’s Theater presents family day performances of the The Frog Prince -story of a spoiled princess and a frog who is really a prince under a secret spell. Shows are scheduled 9:30am & 11:00am before nap time and is perfect for 3-6 yrs.
